The Opportunity
Were seeking a MidLevel Associate to join one of our esteemed clients in their Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice Group. This role is open to candidates in Chicago Kansas City Denver Dallas or Philadelphia. Youll work on a variety of sophisticated matters supporting a nationally recognized practice group dedicated to providing innovative legal solutions in the employee benefits and executive compensation space.

What Youll Do

  • Plan and Implement : Design draft and administer taxqualified and nonqualified retirement plans and health and welfare benefit plans.
  • Advise on Transactions : Provide counsel on executive compensation and benefits aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
  • Ensure Compliance : Address taxation issues related to executive compensation arrangements including Sections 409A and 280G of the Internal Revenue Code.
  • Draft Executive Arrangements : Design and draft employment agreements and other executive compensation arrangements.
  • Collaborate for Success : Partner with clients and colleagues to deliver effective strategic legal solutions.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Experience : At least 3 years of experience in employee benefits and executive compensation matters with expertise in retirement plans health benefits and executive compensation.
  • Education : J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • Skills :
    • Strong legal writing drafting and communication skills.
    • Ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Mindset : Ambition drive and a teamoriented approach to practice development and client service.
