Purpose of Job

The ERP Platform Administrator is responsible for managing and optimizing the NSNA PLEX ERP platform, ensuring efficient support case management, configuring user roles, handling security settings, managing EDI integrations, and supporting continuous process improvement efforts across NSNA and in collaboration with BPI SMEs, IT, and process owners.
This role supports critical business functions by maintaining system reliability, ensuring compliance with NSNA BQM and local business standards, and contributing to process optimization initiatives that enhance system performance and business operations.
Additionally, the ERP Platform Administrator works closely with BPI specialists to support PLEX settings changes as part of broader continuous improvement initiatives, manages PLEX peripheral deployment, and develops contingency plans for the most critical PLEX activities. This ensures the smooth operation of the platform, enhanced security, and effective support coordination across the business.

Major Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manage NSNA PLEX Support Cases: Serve as the central point of contact for all PLEX-related support cases (internal and external), ensuring timely issue resolution, prioritization, and communication with stakeholders to maintain system stability.
  • Configure and Manage Security Roles: Oversee the configuration of user roles, access controls, and security settings within PLEX, ensuring compliance with NSNA BQM and local business audit requirements. Coordinate with IT and relevant stakeholders to enforce security protocols and audit trails.
  • NSNA Cross-functional Coordination and Support: Act as a liaison between IT, BPI Specialists, BPI SME, Process Owners, and business departments to ensure alignment on PLEX configurations, security protocols, system updates, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Support process improvement efforts by collaborating with BPI SMEs, IT, and process owners to optimize PLEX functionality and workflows. Facilitate communication during system integrations and user role updates, ensuring efficient support and alignment across the organization.
  • EDI Setup and Functional Integration: Manage and support the setup of customer and supplier EDI within PLEX, ensuring smooth communication and alignment between external partners and internal systems & partners.
  • Hardware and Peripheral Integration: Oversee the consistent and efficient setup, deployment, and management of PLEX peripherals (label printers, tablets, scan guns), by working closely with local teams responsible. This position will not be working on-site but will coordinate remotely with IT and relevant on-site personnel to ensure that all equipment is properly integrated with PLEX and aligned with technical infrastructure requirements. ensuring coordination with IT and alignment with technical infrastructure.
  • Contingency Planning: Develop and maintain contingency plans for the most critical PLEX activities, ensuring minimal business disruption in case of system failures or outages. Collaborate with IT and relevant departments to ensure smooth execution during emergencies.

Education, Experience and Knowledge

Required and/or preferred level of education, knowledge and skills that are necessary.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Related Experience

  • 3+ years of experience working with ERP systems, preferably in PLEX or similar platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience in system administration, support, or configuration roles.
  • Experience with user access management, and security configurations is required.
  • Knowledge of EDI setup is preferred

Special Training or Competency

  • Proficiency in ERP systems, user access controls, and security settings.
  • Familiarity with EDI setups and data integration with external systems.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., audit requirements, regulatory compliance) related to ERP operations.
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting, system monitoring, and managing contingency plans.

Work Hours

This role is categorized as a hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Troy Michigan office two times per week, at minimum

Hybrid Work Schedule,

Monday-Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.

2 Days in the Office 3 Days remote

Off-hours as needed

Travel Requirements

5% international and/or domestic. 

If domestic travel is necessary, valid drivers’ license is required.

If international travel is necessary, valid passport is required.
