Position Overview The Graphic Design Intern will assist in the marketing and communications efforts organization-wide, reporting directly to the Graphic Design Manager. This role involves creating compelling digital and print materials to support Spence-Chapin's mission and attract new clients and donors. Responsibilities include designing various collateral, including but not limited to fliers, brochures, posters, business cards, PowerPoint presentations, social media posts, and digital/print ads. The ideal candidate should possess creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. This position provides a valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic marketing environment. This is a part-time, remote position.
Spence-Chapin is a non-profit organization based in New York City that has been providing adoption services and adoption support for more than 110 years. Spence-Chapin is newly licensed in Arizona. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with all internal departments and the Marketing team to design a wide range of collateral, including but not limited to fliers, brochures, posters, business cards, PowerPoint presentations, social media posts, digital and print ads, and more.
- Develop templates for digital and print materials in line with Spence-Chapin's brand guidelines. This includes both designing new templates and modifying existing ones as needed.
- Work independently and collaboratively with the Marketing team on multiple projects, meeting deadlines effectively.
- Update, organize, and maintain internal databases containing designs, photography, and video assets.
- Ensure designs meet brand standards, accurately conveying ideas and representing the organization appropriately.
- Gather feedback from the marketing team and incorporate revisions into design projects as necessary.
Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program, such as graphic design, communication design or a related field
- Minimum 2-3 years graphic design experience
- Expertise in Adobe InDesign, lllustrator, and Photoshop
- Creative with a passion for visual communication
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Detail oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
