About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hawthorn Grill Chef de Partie to join our team at our prestigious hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standard and presented in an attractive manner. The Chef de Partie will also be responsible for managing their own section of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared in a timely and efficient manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role
• Excellent knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Culinary degree or equivalent
• Experience working in a high-end hotel or restaurant
• Experience managing a team of chefs
• Experience with menu planning and costing
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes
• Manage their own section of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standard and presented in an attractive manner
• Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment at all times
• Assist with the training and development of junior members of the kitchen team

Skills:

The successful candidate will be required to use their excellent knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients to prepare high-quality dishes to the highest standard. They will need to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, managing their own section of the kitchen and ensuring that all food is prepared in a timely and efficient manner. Strong communication and leadership skills will be essential, as the Chef de Partie will be required to work closely with the Head Chef and other members of the kitchen team. Additionally, the ability to work well as part of a team, and strong organizational and time management skills will be important in this role.
